Concerning COVID-19 & Golfer Safety
In light of the Governor’s recent statements on COVID-19 regarding the closure of restaurants and declaring golf courses as an acceptable social distancing activity, we are taking action to provide you with the safest environment possible at The Home Course. Staff is frequently sanitizing high touch points. All activities are still going as planned.
On the golf course, we are taking additional steps toward providing a safe environment. Actions we have already taken include extra cleaning and sanitizing, removing scoring pencils, removing scorecards and allowing one rider per cart if requested. Additionally, we are removing the bunker rakes, so please do your best to smooth the sand with your foot. Also, we are resetting the cups and leaving the liner 1-inch above the ground. If your ball hits the cup and stays within a club length, consider it holed. These steps will help you avoid touching the flagstick or the hole to get your ball out.
The Golf House Grill is currently closed during this time. We will still be serving food and drinks at our turnstand window for take-out orders or for taking on the course.
Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our staff & golfers. We will continue to undertake the precautions and best practices recommended by public health experts. Click HERE for the CDC’s recommended steps to prevent illness.
We send our best wishes to all individuals and communities that have been impacted by the virus.
We are closely following the news & will take all recommended precautions during this time. We will keep you updated via email & our Facebook page as the situation evolves.
Meanwhile, golf is a great distraction in stressful times. Come spend some time & enjoy the great outdoors!
